Yesterday I picked up an M-Audio Xsession USB mixer. For the last several days I’ve been ripping all my CDs to MP3 and recording all my vinyl (a monumental task) so that I can join the digital DJ ranks. I’m late to the game, I know. My plan is to use Torq as rewire slave with FL Studio 8 as master. That way I’ll be able to both mix my original tracks and create spontanious remixes on the fly. I’m finally feeling closer to a workable solution to be able to play live!

You should grab one of these http://www.ion-audio.com/ionttusb
That does look cool, but I really want to get a new TTX before I do that. I’m making good progress the way I’m doing it. Unfortunately I’m not tagging all the mp3s properly, but I can label everything within Torq as I play the tracks which is pretty cool.
Another cool thing about Torq is that it can be controlled with ‘control vinyl’ records just like Serato’s Scratch. I’d just have to pick up another couple pieces of gear to do so, a second turntable and M-audio Conectiv. It can be done with one table, but who wants to do that?
