I just finished modding my third gameboy. It’s the one in the center. I added a switch to this one that cuts the clock speed in half, essentially lowering the pitch by an octave. I also did the standard mods; the so-called ProSound Mod, and added an orange backlight. Additionally, I replaced the screen cover with one that reads: “CHIPMUSIC IN STEREO” rather than the old “DOT MATRIX WITH STEREO SOUND”.

The picture doesn’t do the backlight justice, as the screens on the pink and orange GBs are very easy to read. (The red one is off because I don’t currently have enough AA batteries for all three.)

There is no line at the top of the screen, that’s just in the picture.
